Web & Mobile Apps
Production-grade Next.js and React Native apps with the boring parts done right: auth, payments, notifications, observability, and CI/CD.
For founders launching a new product or teams replatforming an existing one. We pair web and native into one shared codebase where it makes sense, with the production plumbing already handled.
What counts as a custom app project, and who is it for?
This track covers production web apps and native mobile apps — the kind founders launch as a core product, or that operations teams need on a phone in the field. It's for two situations: a founder taking a new product from idea to a real user base, or a team replatforming an ageing app that's become too fragile or expensive to change. We build on Next.js for web and React Native for iOS/Android, sharing logic between the two where it genuinely saves time rather than forcing a shared codebase where it doesn't fit.
What we build
Every app we ship comes with the parts founders usually underestimate: authentication that handles password resets and social login properly, payments wired to Stripe or local Malaysian gateways (FPX, GrabPay, Touch 'n Go), push notifications and transactional email, observability so you know when something breaks before your users tell you, and a CI/CD pipeline so releases aren't a manual, nerve-wracking event. For mobile, that includes the App Store and Play Store submission process end to end — accounts, certificates, review responses, all of it.
How the engagement works
We start the same way as every engagement: a fixed-price discovery sprint that turns a rough idea or an existing app's pain points into a locked scope and a realistic build plan. Then we ship in vertical slices — a working login flow in week two, a working core feature in week four — against a real staging build you or your team can click through on your own phone. No big reveal at the end; you're steering the product every step.
Typical timeline and cost
A focused MVP (one core user flow, auth, and one platform — web or mobile) typically runs RM 50,000–120,000 across ten to fourteen weeks. A cross-platform app with payments, notifications, and both web and native clients usually lands RM 150,000–350,000+ across sixteen to twenty-six weeks. Replatforming an existing app is scoped case by case after an audit of what exists, since legacy data migration is often the real driver of cost.
Why build your app with Tech DevX
We’ve launched apps that are still live and generating revenue years after handover, because we build the operational plumbing — monitoring, error tracking, deploy pipelines — as a first-class part of the build, not an afterthought bolted on before launch. You own the App Store account, the codebase, and the infrastructure from day one. If you ever want to bring development in-house or switch vendors, there’s nothing stopping you.
